Doughnut Plant is the original gourmet doughnut maker. Since 1994, we’ve been pioneering artisanal doughnuts in New York City through original recipes, innovative techniques, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Founder Mark Isreal began making doughnuts from his grandfather’s recipe in a Lower East Side basement, delivering them by bicycle to neighborhood coffee shops. What started as a small batch operation helped redefine what a doughnut could be.
Today, Doughnut Plant still makes doughnuts fresh throughout the day using real ingredients and scratch-made glazes, jams, fillings, and toppings. No preservatives. No artificial flavorings. No artificial dough improvers. We never use eggs — not even in our cake doughnuts or cream fillings.
All Doughnut Plant doughnuts are vegetarian, and Doughnut Plant is certified Kosher by the International Kosher Council.
